Welcome to our Department of English where we offer a diverse selection of undergraduate courses spanning composition, literature studies that include diverse perspectives and pre-1800 literature, seminars, honors seminars, graduate level courses, indepent studies, as well as courses eligible for credit towards major requirements.

Majors:

As part of the curriculum, majors are required to complete twelve credit hours across at least two different genres fiction, poetry, non-fiction. Admission into these specialized workshops is by consent of the instructor.

AXLE Credit Eligibility:

Our department proudly offers courses that meet both AXLE requirements for writing skills and liberal arts experiences across categories such as ities Creative Arts HCA, Perspectives P, History and Culture of the U.S. US, International Cultures INT, and Social Behavioral Sciences SBS.
